Ostheimer Nativity Scene
An Ostheimer nativity scene is built from separate wooden figures that you combine yourself: Mary, Joseph, the child, the shepherds, the three kings and the animals. There are also wooden stables and caves to place the group in.
Building it up over the weeks
Many families add to the scene step by step: during advent the stable with the animals alone, later Mary and Joseph, and on 6 January the kings. Because every piece is sold separately, you can choose exactly the figures that belong to your own version of the story.
Made to last
The figures are carved by hand in Germany from solid wood and painted with plant-based colours. They have no small loose parts and last for generations if you keep them dry and out of bright sunlight.
