Atan makes classic wooden toys: building blocks, puzzles, pull-along vehicles and first educational games, in a plain style that has changed very little over the years.
Plain wood, long life
There is nothing electronic here and almost nothing printed. A block stays a block, which is why these items survive being handed on to a second and a third child, and why a set bought for a toddler still gets used at five in a different way.
Choosing by age
Chunky blocks and pull-alongs suit a child of one to three. Puzzles and the first counting and sorting games work from about three, and the construction sets keep going to six or seven. All of it combines happily with wooden toys from other brands.
