Blocks that add up

The unit blocks are cut in sizes that are exact fractions of one another, so two halves make a whole and four quarters make the same length. A child stacking them is handling those relationships physically long before meeting them as sums.

Made to last decades

The wood is thick hard maple with a plain oiled finish and no printed decoration, which is why sets in group rooms are still in use twenty years on. It is not the cheapest material to buy, and it is usually the last thing a nursery has to replace.
