Vilac has been making colourful wooden toys in France since 1911: pull-along walkers, music boxes, wooden vehicles, games and design pieces created together with illustrators.

Because Vilac works with artists and illustrators, the toys look unmistakably drawn rather than styled. The lacquer is glossy and holds its colour, so a piece that has been played with for years still looks presentable on a shelf.
