OPPI

OPPI is a French brand that designs educational toys together with teachers and therapists. The best known is the PIKS collection: wooden discs and planks with flexible silicone cones, from which children build towers that lean and balance.

Building with balance

Because the cones give way slightly, a construction never stands quite straight and a child has to keep looking and adjusting. That trains attention, patience and fine control, from about three years to well into primary school.

Material

The wood comes from eco-managed forests and the silicone is food-safe. The sets have cards with constructions to copy, but building freely works just as well.
