Every kit ends in something usable, a bracelet, a lamp or a decorated box. That gives the crafting a point and leaves the child with something to be proud of instead of a pile of offcuts.
Choosing by age
For younger children there are kits with large parts and few steps; from about eight the finer projects with small beads and precise work become possible. Reading the number of steps on the box is the quickest way to judge whether a kit will be finished.
