Caran d'Ache is a Swiss manufacturer of high-grade drawing and writing materials: colouring pencils, wax crayons, watercolour pencils, fountain pens and the well-known Neocolor.

Neocolor and Supracolor

Neocolor wax crayons lay down intense colour, and the second version dissolves in water so a drawing can be washed over with a wet brush and turned into a painting. The Supracolor watercolour pencils are a long-standing favourite among illustrators.

For children and for artists

There are lines for young children with thick, soft cores and professional series with very high pigment density. Everything is produced in Switzerland, and single pencils can be replaced rather than buying a whole set again.
