Toverlux

Toverlux makes torches and projectors that throw fairy tales and stories onto a wall or ceiling. A disc slides into the torch, and the scene appears above the bed in the dark.

The child does the telling

The picture on the ceiling shows a scene but says nothing, so it is the child who explains what is happening and what comes next. Turning the disc moves the story on, and the same set of images produces a different tale on a different evening.

Part of the bedtime routine

The light is soft and warm rather than bright, which makes it a calm point at the end of the day. It is often used for children who find the dark difficult or who need a moment to settle before sleep.
