Helmets and Protective Pads
Protection for wheels: children's helmets, knee and elbow pads, wrist guards, protection sets and helmets for the youngest.
The thing that gets worn every time
A helmet only works if a child will actually put it on, which comes down to fit and to how it looks. Setting the habit at three means it is never a negotiation at eight. Pads matter most in the first weeks on a skateboard or skates, which is when the falls happen.
Fitting a helmet properly
The helmet should sit level, roughly two fingers above the eyebrows, and not move when the head is shaken. The strap should form a V under each ear with room for one finger under the chin. Replace any helmet after a real impact, even if it looks undamaged from the outside.
