GeoMag Classic
GeoMag Classic is the original magnetic construction set: coloured rods with a magnet at either end and steel spheres that serve as the joints. With those two parts you build three-dimensional figures, from simple pyramids to complicated domes.
How the system works
The rods click magnetically onto the spheres. A triangle is the most stable basic shape, so anyone who wants to build high starts with triangles. Children work that out for themselves: a square sags, a triangle holds. That is geometry learned with the hands.
Number of parts and age
The sets run from about thirty pieces to well over a hundred. Thirty pieces are enough for simple figures; larger structures need a larger set, and two sets combine without any trouble.
