Numbers, runs and groups
Rummikub is played by laying tiles in runs and groups, and by rearranging what is already on the table. That last part is what makes it different from a card game and why it stays interesting for years. A game takes about half an hour with two to four players.
Who can join in
Children from around eight can play the full rules, and younger ones manage well in a team with an adult. Editions with larger numbers are easier to read across the table. A travel case with racks keeps every tile together, which matters in a set of over a hundred.
