Trixie Elephants
The elephant is the character Trixie puts at the start of a child's life: grey with a blush ear, on comforters, rattles, swaddles, muslins and the first beakers.
The newborn end of the range
Comforters, cloth books and swaddles all come in this print, and they are the items most often chosen as a present for a birth. The cotton is soft-washed before it is made up, so it does not have to be broken in.
It carries on afterwards
The same elephant then appears on a lunch bag, a rucksack and a set of plates, so a child that grew up with the comforter can carry the animal into nursery. Few character ranges cover that whole stretch.
