Trixie Rattles
A rattle is often the first toy a baby holds by itself. Trixie makes them as small animals and as rings in soft fabric or wood, light enough for a hand that cannot yet grip firmly.
Sound and grip
The sound comes from a bell or from beads sewn inside, quiet enough not to startle. A narrow middle section or a ring shape gives little fingers something to close around, and that is what turns waving into holding.
From what age
A soft rattle can go in the pram from the first weeks, when a baby mostly listens to it. Real grabbing starts at around three months, and that is when the wooden rings with a fabric animal come into their own.
