Swimming Caps
A swimming cap keeps hair out of the face, protects it against chlorine and cuts down resistance in the water. In many pools and at competitions a cap is compulsory.
Silicone or latex
Silicone caps are thicker, tear less easily and sit comfortably over longer hair. Latex caps are thinner and cheaper but stretch less. For children there are smaller sizes in bright colours, which also makes a child easier to pick out in a busy pool.
Putting one on and keeping it
Put the cap on with dry hands: take hold of the rim with both hands and pull it from front to back over the head. Rinse it after swimming and let it dry fully before putting it away.
