Badminton Shuttles
Shuttles come in two kinds: nylon shuttles with a moulded plastic skirt and feather shuttles made with real goose feathers. Here you will find them by the tube and in larger packs, for the garden, the beach and the sports hall.
Nylon or feather
Nylon shuttles are a great deal tougher and are the logical choice for playing in the garden or on holiday. Feather shuttles fly more beautifully and brake more sharply, but last a shorter time and are used mainly in club play.
Speed and wind
Shuttles carry a speed rating: slow ones are pleasanter in a warm hall, faster ones in a cool one. Outdoors the wind always has the upper hand, so play in a sheltered spot or at the quiet end of the day.
