Martial Arts Belts
The belt holds your suit closed and shows which grade you have reached. Here you will find belts in every colour from white through to black, in lengths for children and for adults.
Colours and grades
The order of the colours differs by sport and by federation, but generally runs from white through yellow, orange, green, blue and brown to black. Some clubs use intermediate belts with a stripe to mark a half step.
The right length
A belt should go twice round the waist and then knot with two ends of about twenty centimetres left over. For children that usually means a belt of 200 to 260 centimetres, measured before the first wash.
