Diamond Painting
With diamond painting you stick hundreds of small shiny stones onto a printed canvas, following a grid of symbols. A kit holds the canvas, the stones sorted by colour, a pen, a block of wax and a tray.
How it works
Every symbol on the canvas stands for one colour. You dip the pen in the wax, pick up a stone and press it onto the sticky square. Working one colour at a time keeps the tray tidy and the picture grows visibly.
Which kit for which age
For children from about six, choose a small canvas with large stones and few colours. Round stones are easier to place; square stones give a closed surface without gaps and suit older children better.
