Acrylic Paint
Acrylic paint is water-based paint that dries quickly and is water-resistant once dry. You use it on canvas, paper, card, wood, plaster and stone, which makes it the most versatile kind of paint for crafting and painting.
Working with acrylic
Mix the paint with a little water to thin it, and clean the brush before the paint dries, because dried acrylic does not come out again. A layer is usually dry within half an hour, so you can work over it soon after.
For children
Acrylic does not wash out of textile, so an apron or an old jumper is needed. For young children poster paint or special children's paint is the safer choice; acrylic is generally meant from about eight years.
