Brio Battery Trains
Brio battery locomotives run along the wooden track under their own power, with no hand needed to push. A switch underneath or on top starts them, and they pull their carriages through tunnels and over bridges by themselves.
The track grows while the train runs
For a young child that difference is real: the locomotive carries on doing its round while they lay the next stretch of track. Models range from a plain engine to versions with lights, sound or a special function, most of them on AA or AAA cells fitted underneath.
Couples to every Brio carriage
Magnetic couplings at both ends mean any carriage from any Brio series can be hitched on behind. A battery engine can therefore be added to a wooden set a child already owns without replacing a single piece of it.
