Air Fryers
An air fryer cooks with hot air blown rapidly around the basket, which gives a crisp result with little or no oil. It heats up faster than an oven, which makes it practical for small portions, reheated leftovers and chips.
Which capacity suits you
Capacity is given in litres. Around three to four litres is enough for one or two people, five to six litres for a family of four, and above that a whole meal can be done in one go. A double basket allows two dishes to be cooked at the same time.
Using and cleaning it
Shake or turn the food halfway through and everything browns evenly. On most models the basket and the rack are dishwasher safe, and wiping the element occasionally keeps the smell of last week out of this week's chips.
