All Types of Candles
This page brings the whole candle range together: dinner candles, pillar candles, tealights, holders and the more unusual shapes, so the forms, colours and burning times can be compared side by side.
Choose on shape and burning time
A dinner candle is long and thin and stands in a candlestick on the table. A pillar candle is thick enough to stand on a saucer or in a glass by itself. A tealight burns briefly and is meant for a holder or a lantern. The burning time is given with every article and varies enormously with the size.
Burning them safely
Put candles on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains and out of a draught, and keep them well clear of anything that can catch. Trim the wick to about a centimetre before lighting, and never leave a burning candle in an empty room.
