Schleich Farm
The Farm World line from Schleich consists of hand-painted farm animals and the buildings that go with them: cows, horses, pigs, sheep, chickens, dogs, tractors, stables, fencing and farm figures. Everything suits children from about three years.
Animals that are right
Schleich models each animal on the real example: the proportions, the coat markings and the stance are copied accurately and coloured in by hand. A child recognises a Holstein cow in a book or in a field afterwards, which is not something a simplified figure achieves.
Extending with barns and fencing
Separate fences, feed troughs, a stable or a tractor turn a collection of animals into a working farm. Every piece is on the same scale, so a yard laid out over several years still holds together.
