Schleich Bayala Elves
The Bayala line from Schleich takes place in a fantasy world of elves, unicorns, dragons and magical creatures. The figures have finely painted wings, long hair and details in pastel colours.
Elves and unicorns
The elf figures combine with unicorns, foals and winged horses, plus palaces, tree houses and gardens to put them in. The hair on a great many figures can be combed and plaited, which extends the play into caring and dressing up.
Fantasy play with its own rules
Where realistic animals invite a child to copy the world, a fantasy world leaves it free to invent the rules itself. That is valuable play: the story has to be thought up rather than remembered.
