Schleich Smurfs
The Smurfs from Schleich are small painted figures of the blue comic characters the Belgian artist Peyo invented in 1958. Think of Papa Smurf, Brainy Smurf, Smurfette, Handy Smurf and dozens of other characters.
Collecting by character
Every Smurf has its own trade or trait, which you recognise by what it is holding: a hammer, a pair of spectacles, a flower or a pot. Children and grown-up collectors alike buy them one at a time, which makes them a well liked small present.
Small size, plenty of detail
The figures stand about five centimetres high and are coloured in by hand. Because of the size they are meant for children from three years, and they fit neatly in a collector's case or on a windowsill.
