Darts
A dart is made up of four parts: the point, the barrel you hold it by, the stem and the flight. Here you will find complete sets, with steel points for sisal boards and plastic soft tips for electronic boards.
Weight and grip
Darts are described in grams, usually between sixteen and twenty-six. Beginners are often well served around twenty-one to twenty-four grams: heavier flies more calmly and forgives more. The barrel decides the grip, with coarse ribbing giving plenty of hold and a smooth barrel leaving the hand more easily.
Brass or tungsten
Cheaper darts are made of brass, which comes out thicker at the same weight. Tungsten is denser, so the barrel is slimmer and three darts sit closer together in the board. That matters once a player starts aiming for the treble.
