Toy Drums for Children
Drums for children: wooden drums, bongos, tambour drums, hand drums and small drum sets with sticks.
The most physical instrument there is
Drumming uses arms, ears and timing all at once, which is why children come back to it again and again. A steady beat is a genuine skill and one of the first musical things a toddler can do well. It also burns energy, which on a rainy day is no small thing.
Choosing something you can live with
Hand drums and bongos are considerably quieter than a drum with sticks, and they suit a flat far better. A wooden shell with a natural skin gives a warmer tone than plastic and lasts for years. If sticks come with the set, keep them somewhere the drum is the only thing being hit.
