Alpina
Alpina makes bicycles, scooters and bicycle accessories for children, with attention to safety and to sizes that keep pace with a growing child.
Learning to ride
From a balance bike to a child's bicycle with stabilisers: the sizes follow the height of the child rather than the age on the box. Look at the wheel size and at how far the saddle can be raised, because that is what decides how long a bicycle will still fit.
Accessories
Bells, baskets, locks, lights and mudguards finish a bicycle off. Good lighting is not only convenient; after dark it is a legal requirement, and a set that clips on and off is the one that actually gets charged.
