Chess and Draughts
Chess and draughts sets: wooden boards, magnetic travel sets, learning chess for beginners, and boards with both games in one.
Two games on one board
Draughts is the easier way in, because every piece moves the same way and a child can play a real game within minutes. Chess rewards patience and planning, and most children are ready for it somewhere around six or seven. Many boards serve for both, which makes the step from one to the other natural.
Learning sets and real boards
Learning chess sets mark on each piece how it may move, which removes the part beginners find hardest. A weighted wooden set feels better and stays put during a long game. Magnetic travel boards are the ones that get used on journeys and in waiting rooms.
