Djeco Drawing Materials
Drawing materials from Djeco means the colouring pencils, felt tips, wax crayons, gouache and gel crayons. They are made to the size of a child's hand and meet the European toy standard, so they are safe for young children as well.
Which material at which age
Thick triangular pencils and fat wax crayons sit well in a toddler's fist and are meant from around eighteen months to two years. Thinner pencils, felt tips and paint suit a child from three or four, once the grip has become more precise.
Washable or not
Part of the Djeco range of felt tips and paint washes out of textile, and the pack says so. Wax crayon and gouache will stain, so an apron and a covered table are the sensible precaution with those.
