Trixie Music Toys
The music toys are soft animals with a music box inside. Pull the cord or the wooden ring underneath and the tune plays out slowly as the cord winds back in.
A tune that winds down
The mechanism is mechanical rather than electronic, so it needs no batteries and the tune slows and fades of its own accord. That slowing is what makes it work at bedtime: it ends quietly instead of stopping dead.
Where it hangs
Most have a loop so they can hang on a cot rail, a pram or the side of a changing table, in sight but out of reach. If a child pulls the cord all the way out, let it wind back on its own rather than tugging it further.
