Tennis Rackets
A tennis racket is chosen by height and age. Here you will find junior rackets from 19 to 26 inch for children from about four years old, plus adult sizes and complete sets with two rackets and balls for the garden or the park.
The right racket length
A child of four or five usually plays with 19 or 21 inch, around seven with 23 inch, and from about ten with 25 or 26 inch. A racket that is too long makes the stroke heavy and quickly spoils the technique.
Starting with softer balls
Tennis lessons begin with red, orange and green balls, which bounce less hard than ordinary yellow ones. Children keep the ball in play for longer that way and learn to move to it instead of chasing it.
