Bajo Wooden Animals
Bajo is a Polish family workshop that has been making wooden toys for more than thirty years. The wooden animals are sturdy, simple figures with a chunky outline and cheerful colours, meant to be played with rather than only put on a shelf.
Wood and finish
Bajo works in birch, sycamore, beech, oak and walnut, with water- and oil-based lacquers and stains that meet the European toy standard. The grain stays visible through the colour, so every animal keeps something of its own marking.
How children play with them
The animals are big enough for small hands and have no loose parts, which makes them suitable for toddlers as well. They combine well with blocks, a wooden train track or a farm.
