Other Toy Animal Figures
Toy animals that fall outside the usual groups: forest and woodland animals, pets, insects, fantasy creatures and mixed sets.
The ones that complete a collection
Farm, safari and sea animals cover most of what children ask for, but a hedgehog, a bat or a stag beetle rarely fits any of them. These are the figures that turn a shelf of animals into something a child actually recognises from outside. They also make a small, inexpensive present that always lands well.
Playing and learning at once
Handling a figure and naming it is how most young children learn animals in the first place. Sorting them by habitat, by number of legs or by size turns a box of animals into an afternoon. Solid figures with painted detail survive the sandpit and the bath better than hollow ones.
