Drawing Books
Drawing books come in two kinds: sketchbooks with blank pages to fill yourself, and teaching books that explain step by step how to draw a figure, an animal or a face. Both are gathered in this category.
Learning to draw in steps
A drawing course begins with a couple of basic shapes and adds one line per step until the figure is finished. That approach works well for children from about six who have decided their drawings never come out right.
Paper makes a difference
For pencil, ordinary drawing paper is enough, but felt pens and markers need heavier paper of 120 grams or more to stop the ink coming through. The paper weight is given with every sketchbook.
