Fimo Kids Clay
Fimo Kids is the oven-hardening modelling clay from Staedtler made for children. It is softer than the adult versions, so small hands can shape it without kneading it warm first. There are single blocks and themed sets with cutters and a step-by-step plan.
Soft enough for a child's hands
Ordinary polymer clay has to be worked warm before it gives at all, which is where a young child gives up. Fimo Kids comes out of the pack already supple, so the modelling starts straight away instead of beginning with a struggle.
Hardening in the oven
The finished piece is baked in an ordinary household oven, generally around 110 degrees for half an hour, and an adult does that part. After baking it is solid enough to be played with or worn rather than put on a shelf.
